Working Definition:
cognition: an established routine of mental events. activities, operations, and processes used in perceiving, learning, remembering, thinking, and understanding.
Disciplinary Definitions:
In Fundamentals of Cogniton, Mark H. Asccraft writes: "Cogniton is thought, the collection of all the mental processes we use as we perceive and recognize objects, as we learn and remember concepts and ideas, as we comprehend and use language, and as we think and reason" (5).
