immersion is assoicated with transportation in VR
Disciplinary Definitions:
day-dreaming : an extremely vivid image, usually visual, which is often experienced when one is dropping off to sleep but under the control of the will and easily recounted afterward. (Thagard, Mind, hypnagogic hallucination" [page??])
Comments:
Immersion maintains a sense of conscious agency, whereas transportation, envelopment, and entracement suggest passivity.
